The Joke
If I was constantly aware of my place in this universe- as an individual of one of the millions of species of one of the billions of planets- it would constantly strike me a little ridiculous what a big deal I make of myself.

Jan,
Wonderful thoughts...i like them..
"If i were to see who i truly am -- a being that stands outside space, time, who laughs out loud and so countless beings and countless universes appear -- if i were to see myself as a great tree of life in which all beings hang like leaves from my branches... and if i were to see this great believing it were a tiny creature in an insignificant corner of the universe... why then i would really see the enormity of the joke... the great joke, the one joke... and i may laugh... and a few million more universes would appear. Know Child of the Creator, you are his heart, her wondering fingers tracing her outlines..." Love Tarun
